They said it wasn't possible. They said it couldn't be done. They said you would have to be a fool to expect this, but nevertheless, it happened; I updated my dA account!

There have been many stories as to where I have disappeared to. Some say I got lost in the jungle looking for gold. Others say I was abducted by aliens, who then made me king. Then, there's a story about me intending to quit dA sometime in mid-2008, and that I thought I wrote a journal entry about it, so then I let dA go until I read an old to-do list with "Quit dA" unchecked. Then, I thought I'd remove all my old work and finish it up with the "Good-Bye" entry, but I got sidetracked and forgot once again! That last one sounds suspiciously fake, by the way...

However, I just recently came back here, and realized something: My drawing skills haven't improved at all! If anything, they've deteriorated! I do enjoy writing, however, so I figured I'd return to dA, but to write rather than to draw.

I do see a problem up ahead, however: I tend to have no commitment to websites other than to see what other, more motivated people do on them. Ever since I joined dA I got a YouTube account. It's over a year old, it has 6 videos, and out of those 6, 2 of them took less than 10 minutes to make. It was similar back here on dA. I'd upload 5 drawings in 1 day, then you wouldn't see an update to my page in months. I think my problem is that I only get motivated in sparks, and when these sparks happen, its when I can't do what I am now motivated to do; last night, all I could think of was updating my dA page when I was out, for instance, but when I got back, I felt motivated to do my summer homework for AP English II. I need to figure out how to extend these sparks, and how to cause them when I can actually get something out of them.

There's also the problem of people leaving dA since I left. Quite a few of my old friends here have quit for various reasons, so not many of my old watchers will likely be reading this. Oh well!

Finally... my last journal entry was on December 19, 2007, and even then, I haven't made a new one in a LONG time.
